However, choosing the right bunk bed is not as easy as you may think. Generally the main choice you will have is of wood or metal. I have always preferred a wooden bunk bed as children have always found it seems to creak less at night when they turn over in their sleep.

I opted for a pine bunk bed three years ago when I bought one for our childrens room. I knew that a lighter color wood would not make the room seem any smaller than what it was and I just preferred the general look and sturdiness it gave us. The things that drew us to this house over others were a mixed bag of details.
